Jhansi cantonment Board has appointed three committees under section 44(1)(e) duly approved by the central government for examination and determination of financial and matters related to civil area and for matters related to rest of the cantonment.
 

Residuary area committee consists of five members each to be elected from among the Board's member at a meeting of the Board. Out of these five members, two are ex-officio members, namely the health officer and the executive engineer and rest are elected members. The vice president, if a member of the committee is the ex-officio chairman.

The civil area committee and residuary committee exercise powers and the duties of the Board in respect of following matters pertaining to area under their jurisdiction -
 
Health, Sanitation, Public safely and convenience, disposal of land etc., assessment of newly constructed buildings, building applications, license for temporary occupation of streets, trade license, primary education, public works, hospital and any other institutions or buildings owned or aided by the Board, remission/refund and exemption of taxes, right off of irrecoverable revenue, scheme for improvement of the respective areas etc.
The civil area committee consists of all the elected members, the health officer and the executive engineer. The vice president is ex-officio chairman of the civil area committee. The powers, duties and functions of the Board under section 126, 127, 134(1), 137, 139, 142, 144, 189 and 195 are exercised by the civil area committee in respect of civil area/areas.

Finance co-ordination committee consists of five members each to be elected from among the Board's members at a meeting of the Board. Out of these five members two are ex-officio or nominated members and three elected members. The vice president, if a member of the committee shall be ex-officio chairman of the committee.

Duties of the FCC are :-
  Preparation of budget estimates
  To coordinate public works projects and priorities thereof
  Allotment of funds within the sanctioned budget estimates for expenditure in the various heads
  Supervision and control of the income and the expenditure of the Board
  Any other business entrusted to it by the Board from time to time.
