AS PER CANTONMENT ELECTORAL RULE 2007 |
| It is for information of the general public that the Cantonment Electoral Rules 2007 have been notified by the Central Government in the official Gazette vide S.R.O. 5(E) dated 21.08.2007 |
| The Govt. of India vide Director General, Defence Estates, New Delhi letter No. 76/38/Cantonments Act/C/DE/2007/Vol.II dated 22.08.2007 has asked all the Cantonment Boards to prepare the wards as per Cantonment Electoral Rules 2007, on the guidelines issued by the said letter. The wards so notified shall be the basis for holding elections to the Cantonment Board in future. The Cantt Board has prepared draft plan of seven wards of Jhansi Cantonment and duly approved by the Cantt Board resolution No. 89-24 dated 30.08.2007. The draft plan of wards approved by the Cantonment Board are placed in the office of the Cantonment Board and any person who desires to inspect the proposed wards can visit the office of the Cantonment Board, Subhash Marg, Jhansi Cantt on working days during office hours. |
| All persons who are likely to be affected are requested to look at the proposed wards and if they have any objections or suggestions to the same, may be submitted to the Cantonment Board Office, Subhash Marg, Jhansi Cantt within 15 days from this publication. The objections and suggestions, if any, raised by the public will be heard by the Cantonment Board before the draft plan is finalised and forwarded to the higher authorities for notification. |
